Trowbridge Civic Centre is welcoming delegates from the Royal British Legion (RBL) as it hosts their annual county conference on Saturday.

This is the second time the event has been held at the centre with representatives from all of Wiltshire’s branches invited to attend.

Guests will include the group’s county president Sir Jack Deverell and the national Armed Forces charity’s director of fundraising Charles Byrne.

Trowbridge's RBL chairman, Peter Williams, said: “We held the conference at the Civic Centre last year and it was very successful so we are absolutely thrilled that it will be here again.

“There’s a lot of prestige involved and I think it is good for Wiltshire’s county town to host the county conference.”

Trowbridge mayor David Halik will welcome guests to the event which starts at 11am and runs until 3pm.
