A 17-year-old Corsham art student has made his mark on the town.
Corsham School student Zach Rush was nominated by his teacher Kerry Everson to design a mural for the hoardings at housing association GreenSquare’s Spring Tinings development in Beechfield Road.
GreenSquare co-ordinator Matthew Atkins said: “The wooden panels aren’t a particularly attractive sight. However, we thought they would provide a fantastic blank canvas for a budding local artist.
“We approached the school and they recommended Zach for the job, and we’re really pleased with what he’s done for us.”
Zach said: “I have designed a mural that positively represents both the local and global community and I am really pleased to have this opportunity.
“This project will be able part of my media studies coursework, which is on how street art can be used as a medium for social and political values and ideologies.”
