Wiltshire Police is continuing their investigation to find the vandals who smashed 26 vehicle rear windscreens over Christmas.

They are offering a reward of £500 for the arrest and charge of those responsible.

On Christmas Eve, 21 screens were smashed in Frome Road, in a trail running from The Ship Inn to Pitman Avenue, the damage discovered between 1am and 9am.

Another five windscreens, on vehicles parked at the Ship Inn, were smashed overnight on Boxing Day with Wiltshire Police believing the two evenings of vandalism could be related.

Inspector Lisette Harvey, based at Trowbridge Police Station, said: “For me, having one windscreen damaged is too much, so this type of crime is most regrettable.

“This type of damage in such volume is quite rare and we will be continuing to work with the public to find those reponsible.”

Any witnesses can call Wiltshire Police on 101.
