Sylvester Drive in Hilperton has been closed by Wiltshire Police after strong winds blew roof tiles off a block of flats.
Two fire crews are currently at the scene working with Wiltshire Council and a building surveyor to ensure the roof is safe and no more tiles get blown into the road.
Residents have been allowed to remain at their properties and there are no plans at current to evacuate them.
Motorists are advised by the police that Sylvester Drive is expected to be closed for 12 hours as the repair work isn't expected to take place until tomorrow morning.
