Matravers School in Westbury was visited by Honda’s School of Dreams team for a free two-day thinking skills workshop for Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils and teachers last week.

The workshop, which took place last Tuesday and Wednesday was supported by Chippenham-based Blade Honda, with staff from the company also participating in the workshop.

The School of Dreams programme helps young people understand the importance of pursuing their dreams, and teaches skills and strategies to help turn their dreams into reality.

It was developed by Honda (UK) and a team of independent education experts as part of Honda’s commitment to giving back to the local communities in which it operates.

Rachael Hodges, assistant headteacher at Matravers School, added: “It was such a wonderful opportunity to see pupils building their confidence, mixing with pupils from other schools and really coming out of their shells.

“The workshop gave them a chance to see their dreams and to realise that they can become a reality. It’s great to have time to develop and encourage them so they believe this too.”

Pupils from Bitham Brook Primary School and Westbury Junior School also attended the workshop, giving children the chance to get to know peers from other schools and their teachers of the future.
