Police are appealing for help to trace a man who fled court last week shortly before being sentenced to prison.
44-year-old Keith Jones, from Greenway Lane, Chippenham, appeared before North West Wiltshire Magistrates Court last Tuesday, February 25, after being arrested for breaching a Housing Injunction which had been in place against him since April 2013.
Although Mr Jones, who was not on remand, attended the court appearance he left before it concluded and was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison in his absence.
Enquiries to trace him have been on-going since last week but he is yet to be located.
Officers are asking for anyone who may have seen Mr Jones or who know of his whereabouts to contact them on 101. He is often seen with his two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, one of which only has three legs.
Although he does not pose an immediate threat to members of the public people are advised not to approach him but instead report any sightings to the police.
Alternatively people can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if they wish.
