Two men have appeared before a judge accused of possessing a prohibited weapon.
Bryan Burrows, 44, and Frank Welch, 50, are said to have had a Brocock .38 self contained cartridge system.
It is alleged they had the cartridge with a Brocock ME38 Magnum revolver on Tuesday, November 19, last year.
No charge was formally put to Burrows and Welch and they did not enter any pleas during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
If convicted the men could face a minimum jail term of five years for possessing a prohibited weapon.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case until Friday, June 20, and released Burrows, of Westfield Road, Trowbridge, and Welch, of The Glebe, Freshford, Bath, on unconditional bail until then.
