Warminster charity shop Barnardo’s is asking residents to rummage through their wardrobes to support its Great Winter Stock Appeal, which aims to raise money for the UK’s most vulnerable children.
The appeal is part of a national campaign – fronted by actor Sylvester McCoy of Dr Who and The Hobbit – calling on people to clear out their cupboards and donate winter woollies. Volunteers at the Barnardo’s donation centre in Station Road hope to receive lots of coats, jackets, jumpers, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and bags to help raise money in winter.
Barnardo’s donation centre manager Carol Gillett said: “Spring is finally here and it’s the perfect time to clear out any pre-loved winter clothes.” Contact 01985 211711.
