Tramp the cat is now back with his family

Tramp the cat is safe and well and back with his family in Hilperton, after the person who took him from the pavement near his home on Marsh Road earlier this week realised their error.

"We're all so pleased to have him home," said Alison Phillips, who rushed to collect the family pet after being contacted by the Cats Action Trust, who got a call to say he was safe. The Phillips family had posted Tramp as a missing pet on the Trust's website.

"Someone had recently lost a cat who looks very similar not far away, and when they saw him thought he was theirs. After a few days they realised their mistake and contacted the Trust.

"He's been well looked after, but was glad to get back to his own home. We are all so pleased he is safe and to have him back. We'd like to thank all the people who passed the message on though Facebook and Twitter, and the Trust whose website helped bring him home."
