Defence Minister Andrew Murrison, MP for South West Wiltshire, represented the Government at the 99th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings in Turkey on April 24 and 25.
Dr Murrison, the Prime Minister's Special Representative for the Centenary of the Great War, attended several services over two days including the annual Dawn Service at ANZAC Cove and discussed next year's centenary with his opposite numbers.
After returning to the UK on Saturday, Dr Murrison said: "The commemorative events were each deeply moving and we can anticipate even greater interest in Gallipoli during its centenary next year."
