Residents at Wingfield Care Home in Trowbridge turned out in numbers to help Hannah Carruthers raise money for a five-day charity trek to Machu Picchu.
Miss Carruthers, left, from Trowbridge, a business management student at Portsmouth University, is trekking the Inca Trail in Peru with a group of fellow students in August.
The 20-year-old had to raise a minimum of £2,950 for the charity and thanks to the Wingfield Activities Team she has hit her target.
The care home held a cake sale last month for her chosen charity Breast Cancer Campaign, which raised over £300. She said she had been fundraising for the charity since October last year and thanked everyone who has helped. Miss Carruthers’ nan, Joyce Bye, knows a resident at the home and asked for help which the home happily gave.
