The Hare and Hounds in Corsham is acting as a polling station for the European Elections today, being one of the more unusual polling stations to be found in Wiltshire.

Landlady Hayley Foster said: “We have been in the papers - I believe the headline was 'the best polling station in the world'.

“Originally we were just for the new housing estate Katherine Park, but this time they have worked it out properly so everyone in the area is using us.

“It’s fairly quiet at the moment. I think throughout the day we will get more people - I don’t know many people who get themselves organised to go to the polling station before work.”
