Balfour Beatty Living Places has assured Wiltshire Council officers that it will have grass cutting back on track in three weeks, Trowbridge Area Board heard last Thursday.

Trowbridge town and Wiltshire councillors Jeff Osborn and Graham Payne have taken dozens of calls and emails from angry residents in the town over the past few weeks complaining about long grass.

However, Cllr Payne, who chairs the area board, told the meeting that he had been assured grass cutting will be up together in a three-week period, starting from last Tuesday .

Bill Parks, head of local highways and streetscene, told the meeting: “Balfour Beatty has brought in a significant number of additional resources in Trowbridge and they will continue to work around the problem areas.”
