Trowbridge snooker player Stephen Lee will appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on a charge of fraud on June 9, after the hearing was moved from the original date of May 28.
Police confirmed that Lee, 39, of Birch Gardens, Hilperton, was charged on suspicion of fraud by false representation at the beginning of the month.
The news came just days before the former world number five was told that his appeal against his 12-year ban from the sport had been dismissed.
He was given the ban last September after being found guilty of seven charges of match-fixing dating back to 2008 and 2009.
