Flower festival bound to be a Shaw-fired success
Christ Church in Shaw will be looking blooming lovely this month, as it prepares for the village’s flower festival.
The church will be open on the weekend of June 28 and 29, when colourful displays prepared by village organisations including the Shaw School and the Women’s Institute, will be on show.
A ticketed preview event will take place on Friday June 27 at 7.30pm, with a celebratory Evensong rounding off the festival at 6pm on the Sunday, followed by a mass ascent of balloons.
