The water supply to 50 properties in the Seymour Road area of Trowbridge was switched off for over three hours on Saturday, after a burst water main flooded nearby British Row.

A team from Wessex Water attended the burst main in Seymour Road at 4.25pm and switched off the water to carry out repair work, before turning the water back on at around 8pm.

George Keast, Wessex Water spokesman, said: “The burst main was reported to us at 3.45pm and a team was on site by 4.25pm.

“The water supply to 50 properties was switched off for just over three hours to carry out the essential repair work.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to residents in the area and would like to thank them for their patience. We can confirm that the problem has now been fixed.”
