The rider of a 1300cc Yamaha XTR was in collision with a car on the A350 near Heywood, Westbury, queues of traffic building up after the road was closed by police.
The man, who is thought to be in his sixties, was taken to Trowbridge minor injuries unit and was not seriously hurt.
