The Melksham Heritage Discovery Fair will take place tomorrow at Well House Manor, Spa Road, from 10am to 2pm.

There will be a range of events including exhibitions of documents, directories, books and artefacts.

There will also be talks on Melksham’s Railway, the town during the Second World War, discovering the history of your house and a discussion on old photographs of the town.

Graham Ellis, one of the organisers of the day, said: “It is a rare chance to see some of the things that have gone on in the town that would otherwise be hidden away.

“Two hundred years ago, Melksham was the largest town for many miles and many families who lived here made a real difference not only locally but nationally.”

Residents can also bring in their pictures and old photos of the town to be scanned for the Well House Museum Collection.

Entrance is free. For more information go to: http:// melksh.am/history.
