Atworth Village Hall was transported back 100 years last Saturday, in a bid to preserve its long-term future.
The first ever Atworth Festival was held to mark the centenary of the hall, formerly known as the Atworth Institute, and to raise funds for its refurbishment.
Parish council chairman Effie Gale-Sides said: “After 100 years, the fabric of the building is good, but the inside is a little dated.
“We had a dog show, dancers, singers and stalls. The hall was set up as an Edwardian tearoom, with bunting and wreaths.”
A collection on the recreation ground also raised £145 for a defibrillator at the hall.
