Walwayne Court Primary School was ‘live’ on ITV show Good Morning Britain today after being selected as finalists in the Glorious Gardens competition.
Weather presenter Laura Tobin arrived at the Trowbridge school at about 5am with a film crew and filmed her weather reports from the school grounds.
Pupils and staff at the school have worked hard over the past few months to recycle plastic bottles, watering cans, hubcaps and other items to turn them into art for the garden.
Headteacher Bev Kenyon said: “It all stemmed from Trowbridge in Bloom’s eco project and the response from parents and the children has been overwhelming.
"Everyone is proud and excited to have been selected as a finalist and be visited by Good Morning Britain.
“We were delighted when we were successful. It’s good for Trowbridge as all the schools in the town do a lot of similar eco-friendly projects.”
