Headteacher Simon Riding is delighted with Matravers School's GCSE results.
The Westbury school saw 82 per cent of pupils achieve five A*-C grades while 52 per cent got 5 A*-C grades with two of the subjects including English and maths.

He said: "I was expecting to do quite well but this is just great and better than I expected. I'm going to be studying A-levels at Matravers.
"I'll be doing maths, further maths, geography and French."
Fellow pupil Jessica Scragg, 16, got three A*s, seven As and a B.
She said: "I'm feeling absolutely overwhelmed. I've been studying since January and I'm pleased to see my efforts were worthwhile.
"I've got a tent up in my garden and I'm going to be having a few friends round tonight to have a bit of a party in it."
