A patchwork quilt sewn by groups from the U3A is sparking interest from visitors to Dorothy House Hospice Care’s Outreach Centre in Trowbridge where it has been displayed.

The quilt, made up from 66 squares, has pride of place at the cafe in the outreach centre, based in Bryer Ash Business Park.

Nanette Stevens, who is a co-ordinator for U3A, said: “The U3A groups made the quilt for a recent event, each group with their own square.

“It then ended up in a draw as no one was sure where to put it, but as we work closely with Dorothy House it seemed an ideal location for it. It is hung up in their cafe and looks amazing.”

The centre, open Monday to Friday from 10am-4pm, provides an informal drop-in and signposting service for anyone in the area affected by terminal illness.
