Last Sunday saw a record number of people turn out to support The Forever Friends Appeal’s annual Movie by Moonlight event to raise money for Royal United Hospital in Bath.

Thousands of people, some in Pink Ladies and T-Birds outfits, descended on Victoria Park in Bath to watch the musical Grease, which raised £7,000 for RUH’s pioneering new Cancer Centre.

Events and community officer for The Forever Friends Appeal, Emily Lynch, said: “We knew the showing of Grease would be popular, but had no idea a reported 5,000 people would turn out.

“The appeal team were overwhelmed and so very grateful to everyone who turned out to watch Grease under the stars and we are very proud to announce that the grand total of £7,000 was raised from text and bucket donations on the night in support of the RUH Cancer Care Campaign.”
