The Open Flower and Produce show organised by Melksham Gardener’s Society returns this Sunday for its sixth event at Melksham Assembly Hall.

Locally grown flowers, fruit and vegetables will all be shown as well as handicrafts, cookery and photography.

A number of demonstrations and displays will also be held including the Wiltshire Branch of The British Cactus, Melksham Bee Keepers and Wiltshire Guild of Spinners Weavers and Dyers. A discussion on how to grow tomatoes, cucumbers and other greenhouse crops will be given by Matt Simpson of Warminster based company Simpson Seeds.

The show is open to the public from 2-4.30pm with the prizes for the show entries. The Mayor will also present prizes to winners of the Town Council’s Melksham in Bloom competition.

Entry is £2.50 to include a cup of tea or coffee. Children’s admission is free.
