Characters Stage School, which has run for several years in Bradford on Avon, held an Open Day at the Arc theatre in Trowbridge on Saturday, to launch a new Saturday School session there.

Theatre manager Anthony Bruton and the Characters team Sara Griffiths, drama workshop leader, Moira Townsend Williams, producer and Amy Young, choreographer, are pictured with some of the children from Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge, Bath and Chippenham.

Sessions begin tomorrow (Saturday), with auditions for the Stage Company from 10am-1pm for ages 10-18. This group create an original play for performance each year, with a strong emphasis on involving the childrne in the process.

The Characters Saturday School for ages 7-18 will run from 2-5pm, with classes in acting/singing/dance “This is a very exciting time for us and will offer many local children opportunities,” said moira Townsend Williams.
