What is the relief road at Hilperton actually going to relieve?

I always thought a relief road went in before a village, not after. To relieve Hilperton it should go next to the new rugby/football club but I don’t suppose the large house on the right wants a road next to it and see the green fields disappear, much better to put it across the only green area behind Horse Road.

In years to come, will young children ask “What is a green field?” We don’t have many left in Melksham, now Trowbridge is going the same way.

Trowbridge, Hilperton, Staverton, will all become one place.

The lady who lives on the main road, Hill Street, won’t get any less traffic, busy people will still go to Staverton that way as will the bus services, so who will use the relief road? Only the people who will buy the new houses when they are built along it. Road first, then development.
