As half term nears, Wiltshire Police charity Splash is preparing for an action-packed October school half-tem holiday in Wiltshire’s countryside.

There will be two different projects during the week for people aged between nine and 16 and both are free to attend.

Simone Matthews, operations co-ordinator said: "We’ve had a busy time this year delivering over 27 activity days and we are looking forward to rounding off our 2014 programme with five fantastic activity days for over 50 Wiltshire young people."

The first project, Wild Wiltshire at Biss Woods, near Trowbridge, on October 27, is a day of outdoor fun, including making campfires, cooking, exploring woodlands, and wildlife.

The second project, Paddle Pedal Pursuit, is an overnight stay in Brokerswood, Westbury, on October 30 and 31.

This trip will include kayaking, mountain biking and a pursuit challenge and the young people will also get to a chance to cook on a campfire and camp overnight.

Youngsters wanting to attend need to be nominated by completing a booking form before Friday, October 10.
