Wiltshire Council is currently undertaking a survey across the county to gauge public opinion on car parking.

Melksham Town Council is aware of the concerns raised by residents, visitors, traders and other stakeholders over the car parking arrangements and charges levied by Wiltshire Council at car parks in the town (Bath Road, King Street, Church Street, Lowbourne, Union Street and the railway station).

The town council strongly urges as many people as possible to complete the survey and make Wiltshire Council aware of their views in relation to car parking charges and arrangements within the town.

Further information about the car parking review, together with the online survey, can be found on Wiltshire Council’s website.

Alternatively, hard copies of the questionnaire can be requested by emailing transportplanning@wiltshire.gov.uk or ringing Wiltshire Council’s customer service centre on 0300 456 0100.

The consultation exercise will be open until January 16, 2015.

Miriam Zaccarelli, Deputy Town Clerk, Melksham Town Council.
