A record amount was raised at St Laurence School’s vintage fashion show to mark the centenary of the First World War last Friday.
St Laurence’s parent body, the St Laurence School Association, made at least £1,200 towards the Year 11 pupils’ prom and for school projects.
More than 100 people were there to see a catwalk show that aimed to unite fashion with history, looking back on some of the main trends over the past 100 years.
Show co-ordinator Betty Gleave said: “We had quite a lot of iconic fashion looks on the catwalk.”
Frank and Elsie, the vintage clothing shop in Bradford on Avon run by two former St Laurence pupil sisters, Ellen and Dora Bishop, supplied many outfits for the 30 student models.
