Two men were lucky to escape with only minor injuries after the white Ford Transit van they were in flipped over on Tuesday morning in Yarnbrook.

Police and ambulance services were called to the accident just after 7am on the B3097 near the railway bridge at Yarnbrook roundabout.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, suffered minor injuries to one hand while the passenger, an 18-year-old, suffered minor injuries to both hands. Both men were taken to the RUH in Bath.

The road was shut for almost three hours while the van and damaged railings on the footpath were removed.
