A LORRY driver has died following a crash on the M4 this morning.

Wiltshire Police were called to the M4 westbound between Junction 15 and Junction 16 at around 3.25am following reports that a HGV had overturned into a ditch.

"The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene," said a police spokesman. 

"His family have been informed and our specialist officers are providing support.

"Investigations into the cause of the incident are continuing. The hard shoulder and lane one remain closed."

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was travelling along the M4 between these two junctions and saw the collision.
