William Shakespeare was the topic for children at St George's Catholic Primary in Warminster recently.

Children and staff had a fun day dressed up as fairies, kings, queens, maidens and witches.

Classes have been learning about the work of the great wordsmith during the last term, taking part in making garden gnomes from plaster, researching the Globe theatre, sketching their own drawings of Shakespeare and filming their own version of Macbeth.

Headteacher Louise Croker said: “The curriculum for this term has been based on Shakespeare and it has involved the whole school.

“Parents had participated in many ways and we are being visited by the Young Shakespeare Company in March. This has been a very successful, enjoyable and great learning event for us all.”
