CHIPPENHAM'S Emma Holloway tasted multiple success at the the ASA National Synchronised Swimming Championships in Gloucester last weekend.

The 21 year old achieved medals in six of her seven events as her City of Bristol team dominated in the pool.

Holloway and teammate Ilaria Brandimarte scooped Tech Duet gold to kick off the second day of competition.

“That was a really good swim,” said University of Bath student Holloway. “It was the first time we’ve swam together so it was nice to go out there and put in a strong performance for our first time.”

Holloway, who also trains with Chippenham Amateur Swimming Club, also won technical solo silver, only .8341 behind teammate Brandimarte who took gold.

Adding to her achievements were technical team gold, free duet silver and free team gold and she was also fourth in the free solo swim

City of Bristol completed the team triple, taking gold in the final event of the championships.

Holloway added: “We knew it was going to be close with Rushmoor but we really wanted to improve on our scores from previous years with that swim.

“Last year we missed out on the Combo so our aim this year was to go out and get the three team golds.”
