GREAT Chalfield Manor near Holt will be opening its doors for a family fun day to raise money for Churchfields Primary School in Atworth and Bradford on Avon.

On Saturday, June 6 the National Trust house, which featured in the BBC's Wolf Hall, will host the community event from 10am-4pm.

There will be free activities for kids of all ages including ‘search and find’ trails with prizes, sports activities and access to the gardens.

Youngsters will also be able to enjoy some quiet time, with colouring and crafts, or have a go at winning prizes with games and competitions. There will be bouncy castles with slides and ball pits as well as face painting.

Refreshments will include a barbecue supported by Warleigh Lodge Farm, traditional cream teas, ice creams and Pimms. Mums can enjoy a little pampering, courtesy of a pop-up nail bar provided by Unit 2 Beauty Salon, in Corsham.

Tickets, available at a discounted price of £3.50 if bought online in advance, from gcmfunday.eventbrite.co.uk. Under 11s go free.
