GLOBAL YouTube sensations Zoe and Joe Sugg stopped off at their former stomping grounds at Corsham School today to say hello to pupils and to give them the opportunity to quiz them about their unprecedented success.

The brother and sister duo used to live in Lacock with their dad Graham six years ago before hitting the big time and now post vlogs online raking up millions of hits by their dedicated fanbases.

Miss Sugg, 25, known as Zoella to her fans, began filming makeup and fashion tutorials while she studied for her A-levels in art, photography and textiles at Corsham School.

Since then she has managed to build-up a following of eight million subscribers.

“It feels really weird being back because every time we hear the school bell we keep thinking we need to go to our next lesson or be somewhere,” she joked.

“It’s the little things that I miss like walking past the green and seeing the tree that we all used to sit under during lunch or seeing a few of the teachers who are still here.”

Mr Sugg, 23, who also studied at the school, said he had often tries to come back to Wiltshire since his vlog grew in popularity but today is the first time the siblings have returned to their former school.

“We’ve been popping our head in classes to say hello and it just makes me think I haven’t done my media homework, or something, but it is nice to be back,” he said.

“We are quite creative so I remember spending so much time in these buildings in lessons or doing homework. A lot of people on our Twitter say they hate school but I know we both loved it.”

Throughout their brief stay, the pair made time to take selfies with adoring fans who were able to ask the pair about their success since it all started from them making videos while at the school.

Miss Sugg, who now lives in Brighton with her boyfriend and fellow video blogger Alfie Deyes, said she is constantly overwhelmed by the support and attention she gets from her YouTube videos.

She added: “We never thought it would ever get to this from just sitting our bedrooms doing silly videos.

"It all started here particularly when we were at school so it’s really nice to come back to where we began making these videos.”

Miss Sugg broke the record for highest first week sales for her debut book Girl Online and she is set to release the second instalment by the end of the year.

As nearly 100 students lined up to meet her, Miss Sugg said: “For me, the biggest thing is that I stressed about when at school was that I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I left.

"I think if I could give a tip to everyone it would be that you just have to figure it out as you go along but stick to something you love.”

Her brother added: “I think the one thing I would say to the students here today is don’t be afraid to let your creative go, and just to do what you enjoy in life.”

Headteacher Martin Williams said the atmosphere on the site was one of anticipation for both staff and students.

Mr Williams said: “This is the first chance they have had to come back because they are such a busy pair.

“We’ve kept it quiet from the students to add to the excitement but also because they need security.”
