A 12-year-old boy has been airlifted by the Wiltshire Air Ambulance to hospital after falling through the roof of the Clarendon Academy in Trowbridge.

Emergency services were alerted after the school's alarm system was activated on Monday afternoon.

He suffered a pelvis injury and cuts to his chest and hands after falling three metres (10ft), Wiltshire Air Ambulance said.

A SWAS ambulance as well as WAA were called to the school just after 5pm.

The boy was flown to Bristol Children's Hospital where he remains.
