WILTSHIRE Air Ambulance staff will be raising money for the charity by taking part in the White Horse Challenge this weekend.

Nine employees will be walking either the seven mile family challenge, a one day challenge of up to 27 miles or the full 52 miles, each taking in the seven white horses.

Chief executive David Philpott walked the full challenge last year and will be attempting to do the same again.

Rebecca de la Bedoyere, WAA’s fundraising manager who will also be attempting the full challenge, said: “The team at Wiltshire Air Ambulance are looking forward to the White Horse Challenge. It is an event that has gone from strength to strength and we are so grateful to all the individuals and businesses involved in organising and sponsoring it. I did the seven mile family challenge last year and it was a lovely experience.”

The challenge is now in its tenth year and has raised £110,000 for WAA. It is organised by Wiltshire businesses Monahans Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers, Rygor Commercials and Rocking Horse Nursery.

Zoe Meaden, of Monahans, said: “We are delighted that Wiltshire Air Ambulance is entering a team again. The White Horse Challenge is a wonderful way of enjoying the Wiltshire countryside while raising money for a great cause.”
