A MAN who is accused of carrying out a serious assault on a woman is to face trial by judge and jury.
Joshua Whittaker, 22, pleaded not guilty to a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
Whittaker also denied the lesser charge of causing grievous bodily harm in relation to the alleged incident on Thursday, March 19.
Whittaker from Trowbridge, was released on bail on condition he does not contact the complainant or go to an address in Westbury and will face trial on Monday, January 11, next year.
