THE Warminster Civic Trust will be holding a Special General Meeting on Friday to discuss the future of the charity, which could be forced to dissolve if not enough members attend.

More than 200 members are registered with the charity but it was unable to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May because so few people turned up.

Founded in 1972, the charity works in partnership with the Town Council, the Warminster and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce, the Warminster and Villages Community Partnership, as well as many other societies representing the town. Tonight’s meeting will take place at the Warminster Civic Centre, Sambourne Road, from 7pm to 9pm where a new chairman and secretary will be chosen as David Carter and Sue Lewis step down due to other commitments.
