POLICE are renewing a plea for witnesses after two women - one pregnant - were involved in an incident which ended up with a Melksham man, 30, being arrested.
The incident happened around 10pm in King Street, Melksham, on Saturday, October 3.
A 30-year-old local man was arrested the following day on suspicion of common assault and was released on conditional bail.
PC David Townsend, of Wiltshire Police, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen something suspicious around this time on this date.
"Also at the same time there was a car parked next to the three people, facing towards Semington road. If you saw the car and can describe it please come forward too.
"King Street is often used by motorists as nearby Spa Road is closed at the moment and I am hoping that a passing driver or pedestrian may have witnessed the incident or part of it.
"If you can help please call me on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
