THE first batch of tickets for the WOMAD Festival, which draws 30,000 people to the Malmesbury area every summer, will go on sale tomorrow.

Early Bird tickets give world music fans the chance to secure their place at the four day extravaganza that features scores of artists from all over the globe.

Wiltshire’s most popular music festival, which has taken place at the Earl of Suffolk’s hereditary home at Charlton Park since 2007, will next year go ahead from July 28 to 31.

First details of what the organisers promise will be “an amazing line-up of musicians and characters from around the world” will be announced soon.

Details of the “usual illuminating range of exhibitions, installations, talks, debates, world cuisine and fun activities for the whole family” will also be shortly unveiled.
