TWO drivers, who had to be cut free from their vehicles this morning following a crash in Hawkeridge, have been taken to hospital.
The collision between the black Audi and silver Ford Transit van happened just before 6.30am at the Hawkeridge Road/Dursley Road junction.
Two fire crews from Trowbridge - including the Heavy Rescue Unit - as well as a crew from Westbury attended the scene and had to cut the drivers free.
Both the male drivers were taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath by South Western Ambulance Service.
Wiltshire Police had put a number of road closures in place but have said the road reopened just before 10.15am this morning (March 1).
A spokesman added: "Both drivers had to be taken to the RUH after the Audi driver had neck and back pain while the van driver had back and leg pain.
"It is thought that the injuries are not life-threatening."
