THREE Horseshoes Walk Shopping Centre in Warminster has chosen the Wessex MS Therapy Centre as its nominated charity, starting from now.

The therapy centre, which is in the centre of Warminster, next to the hospital, provides essential therapies, information and emotional support for people with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers.

Three Horseshoes Walk centre manager Peter Ruscoe said: “We are situated in the centre of Warminster and we want to be at the heart of the community as well and with the Wessex MS Therapy Centre so close by and doing such important work, it seems an ideal choice.

“We’re delighted to be able to offer the shopping centre as a location for the charity to hold fundraising activities as well as holding some events of our own to raise money for them.

“I’m so impressed with the dedication of the staff and their volunteers and I’m proud to be able to invite them as the shopping centre’s first ever nominated charity. It relies so heavily on donations and we hope our contribution will ago some way to help.”

The charity has a number of targets for its fundraising but one of the most pressing needs is for rehabilitation equipment, specifically for a rehabilitation cycle, costing £7,000.

Rosie Eliot, manager of the therapy centre said: “We are delighted to have been chosen as Three Horseshoes Walk’s charity of the year and we want to bring some fun activities so that the people of Warminster can join in and help us raise funds for the therapy centre.

“We are a completely self-funding charity and we already receive invaluable support from the people of Warminster; we currently have over 50 volunteers who mostly live in and around Warminster and it will be great to involve them in the events in the heart of their local shopping centre.”
