A MELKSHAM man was arrested for numerous offences late last night after police stopped his car in Trowbridge.
The 30-year-old was driving a car of interest along the Hilperton Road at 11.30pm last night when it was followed and stopped at the junction of Alma Street.
As a result of the stop, the man was arrested on suspicion of taking the vehicle without consent, possessing drugs, actual bodily harm, and aggravated burglary.
He remains in custody this morning.
