MORE than 300 Royal Mail staff across Wiltshire and Swindon have gone on strike this morning.
According to staff at Chippenham's Bumpers Farm delivery office, the strike centres around the suspension of the area representative.
A Communication Workers' Union representative said: "I came to give them information and they have chosen as a union of people to come out in support."
The service is not affected in the west Wiltshire area.
A Royal Mail spokesman said: “We are fully committed to resolving our colleagues' concerns in co-operation with the Communication Workers Union (CWU).
"We will do all we can to minimise any disruption and to deliver and collect mail as normal.”
- A spokesman for Royal Mail confirmed this afternoon that staff had now returned to work.
