A MYSTERY surrounding green slime which was seen leaking from a lorry travelling through Trowbridge on Saturday morning was solved by firefighters.
It was tea tree daily body scrub. Concerned calls were made by motorists driving behind the lorry just after 10.30am as it passed the old Nestle factory in Staverton with many worried it could be a chemical substance.
A crew from Bradford on Avon attended to find the slime, which they cleared up, and called for help from Trowbridge who were able to track the lorry to the White Horse Business Park.
After speaking with the driver, firefighters found that the slime was only tea tree daily body scrub which did not pose any chemical threat to residents.
It is believed the lorry was making its way to Peter Black Cosmetics.
