HORNINGSHAM Village Hall was given a big spruce up at the weekend after the hall’s new committee decided it needed a fresh lick of paint.
All members of the committee and several residents got stuck in on Sunday (September 25) to repaint the hall, situated in the heart of the village, and to trim hedges.
Hall trustee Caroline Dykes said: “As the new committee we decided to kick ourselves up the backsides and get cracking, starting with a big spruce up of the village hall.
“It’s a huge hall but we managed to get the painting finished within a day thanks to the hard work of everyone involved and my husband’s paint sprayer.
“It was really satisfying to see such an impressive transformation. We want to see more people book it for weddings as it’s such a lovely venue.”
