Soulful-voiced pop icon and multi-million selling artist Rick Astley will celebrate his comeback with a number of live forest gigs across the country. 

Playing at the Westonbirt Arboretum next year on Saturday, June 17, Astley is the first artist to annouce 2017 dates for Forest Live - a series of concerts promoted by the Forestry Commission. 

Income generated from ticket sales will be spent on protecting, improving and expanding England's forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife. 

After releasing the iconic Never Gonna Give You Up single at only 21, which quickly became the UK's biggest selling single of the year and number one in 16 countries, Astley is once again celebrating his first number one album in 29 years. 

His album 50, has since gone gold and been well recieved by fans and critics alike, with singles Keep Singing and Angels on My Side dominating the airwaves and raking in nearly 1.8m views on VEVO and more than 600,000 streams on Spotify. 

He said: "2017 sees me celebrating 30 years in the music business since my first No 1 hit.

"I can't wait to perform as part of Forest Live and I really hope you can make one of the dates to enjoy the experience with me."
