STUDENTS shared their bucket list wishes, life goals and aspirations on Dorothy House's Before I Die chalkboard outside the University of Bath for their charity information week.

The wall, which was embraced by the students on Monday, October 17, was inspired by New Orleans artists Candy Chang who created the Before I die wall concept after struggling with a loved one's death.

Anna Boneham, student volunteer manager at the University of Bath said: "This event was held as part of the Student Union's Volunteer Office 'Charity Information Week. The 'Before I Die' Wall created a real buzz on campus and word quickly spread amongst students and staff to get involved, with many commenting on what a positive experience the Wall created. It was great to see a range of ages adding their thoughts and was a really innovative way to link with Dorothy House once again."

Life goals written on the board ranged from the humourous to the touching and profound and included wishes to be able to change duvet covers, to become a world famous journalist, to have a family and to have a world where everyone is accepted.

Louise Clapton, Community Engagement Co-ordinator at Dorothy House Hospice Care said: "This event and the chalkboard cube provides an opportunity in Dorothy House's 40th birthday year for our community to come together and focus on what we intend to do with our lives. It’s a chance to consider your bucket list and make your mark on the world. This is a true community art piece that makes people feel connected, previous walls have uncovered all sorts of ambitions and aspirations, from swimming the Channel to making homemade clothes."
