KNITTING is not just for elderly women, despite what the latest Shreddies cereal advert would have you believe.
A new group is launching in Sutton Benger next month and everyone is welcome, even men.
The knitting clan will meet at the Wellesley Arms in Sutton Benger on July 5 at 8pm and then every fortnight afterwards.
Nicola Hayward, of the group, said the hobby has become trendy again.
"We hope people of all ages will join us for a relaxed evening of knitting and chatting," she said.
"Beginners are welcome and some materials will be available for those who want to try."
For more information contact Nic or Ed at k1sip1@hotmail.co.uk The group is hoping to start off knitting for charity and plan to create Innocent Smoothie mini hats for Age Concern.
